Osechi Ryori

Osechi Ryori is a Japanese New Year's tradition. The system of vessels display on a shelf to mimic the aerial view of an Osechi Ryori presentation, but can also be presented sitting upright. Just like how the individual foods in an Osechi Ryori box have a unique characteristic, each type of pasta is symbolized by a different meaning, such as happiness or good luck, that the giver wishes upon the recipient.
